Hey, GJers! Below is the list and descriptions of officer positions we went over in the meeting on Monday, April 26th.

Remember that the only qualifications are having a 2.0 GPA and being in good standing with the University. If you were unable to make meetings this semester but were involved last semester, still apply! If you are a freshman and this was your first year, still apply! The only other thing we want from you is that you be committed to Global Justice. So think about it, and remember you can pick your top 2 favorite and then opt to be considered for any of the others.

SOCIAL/SERVICE COORDINATOR

Goals:  To serve the members of global justice through serving the community

Jobs: in charge of planning monthly socials and 2 service projects per semester

Traits: Outgoing, positive, friendly, willing to contact community organizations, able to make a welcoming environment

FINANCE COORDINATOR (TREASURER)

Goals: To raise and account for all funds related to Global Justice.

Jobs: in charge of tshirt sales, membership dues, and transactions through the SOFC

Traits: Organized, timely, not afraid to ask for or demand money/receipts when needed, able to communicate with faculty advisor

EDUCATION COORDINATOR

Goals: To educate membership and TAMU student body on relevant Global Social Issues

Jobs: in charge of compiling education materials for events and membership and planning speakers

Traits: Interested in learning more about Global Issues, Effective communicator

PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

Goals: Clearly and effectively coordinate and organize special events for Global Justice while responding to and facilitating the interests of membership.

Jobs: in charge of theMOVEevent and distributing responsibilities in other special events

Traits: Organized, self starter, motivating to others, excellent communication skills, able to delegate responsibility when necessary

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Goals: To communicate with groups outside of Global Justice to better facilitate relationships with organizations for the growth of social justice in our community.

Jobs: in charge of maintaining relationships with other organizations and knowing outside events

Traits: Dedicated to Global Justice, outgoing, good communicator (public and private), good at building relationships (professionally and personally)

MEDIA COORDINATOR

Goals: Effectively convey the goals and ideas of Global Justice through print, web and electronic media.

Jobs: in charge of completing all media for events and Global Justice in a timely fashion and of quality, in charge of maintaining blog.

Traits: Creative, good computer and design skills (proficient in Photoshop or similar program, PPT, HTML etc.) , able to complete tasks on time.
